MARY MAGDALENE
ST. MARK CHAPTER 14 VS. 3 - 9
And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good; but me ye have not always. She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
The love Mary Magdalene had for Jesus was not a flesh attraction or flesh love,
because in her whole heart she could not live without Him.
It was in her soul heart now that she felt this love.
She loved Jesus' Purity; and loved His Soul with her love of soul.
In the Bible it says that when Jesus was risen early the first day, He stood before Mary Magdalene and said, "Woman, why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou?" She supposing Him to be the gardener, saith unto Him, "Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him and I will take him away." Jesus saith unto her, "Mary." She turned herself and saith unto Him, "Rabboni," which is to say Master. Jesus saith unto her, "Touch me not; for I am not ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend to my Father and your Father; and to my God and your God."
Jesus' first Words, were, "Woman, why weepest thou?" His second Words were, "Mary." His third Words were, "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father." His fourth Words were to give the Apostles his Message. Why did He choose Mary Magdalene to be His messenger of the Four Gospels and the first messenger of Light which He started in Light on the first Easter when He spoke to Mary Magdalene coming from the grave? The holy Superet Light was all around Him; and Mary Magdalene was on her knees at His Feet - not with a flesh love, but with soul love. Also, Jesus lifted all womanhood out of its slavery, out of its man flesh love into Light. God's Will chose her as a messenger, a minister to speak of Jesus in Light first; and she had to give the Light Message to the men Apostles. Then only did He come to His Apostles.
